Title: Roof mounted satellite TV receivers
Post by: Bob Wilson on July 19, 2020, 04:50:47 pm
I own a 2007, 31 ft Laze Daze which came with an in motion set up which worked great all over the US for about 8 yrs then'
would not work at all.  The company which made these no longer in US , I emailed  them about service and parts to which
they responded by saying  units no longer available to included parts or service   So I am looking for a new set-up.
In looking at internet units available-wow to much to comprehend
What to you all have for roof mounted satellites  and receivers and service Dish or Directv, we have Directv at home and have
so for 12 years.  My orginal  satellite service was Directv

Thanks for your wisdom

Since you like Direct TV at home, stay with it on the road. Big decisions on equipment are 1) in$ motion$ or parked, 2) Roof mounted,  ground based, or hybrid, 3) One satellite or 3$ satellites$ at one time. Figure those out first.

We have a roof mounted in motion, but also carry a tailgator.  This allows us unlimited options including an outside tv for tailgating if bring along another tv and receiver.

Thanks.

I am not looking for in motion .  We had NO CHOICE when we purchased new.  I am now  curious as to the systems
our fellow LD owners use.

We have the King/Quest. Direct TV supplies reception from an extra box we purchased from Best Buy. It doesn’t work while we are driving but has been very reliable while we are parked. It is attached to the roof with a cradle and can be used as a portable if need be. I hope this helps.
