Title: Cabin Entry Door lock
Post by: kvc on May 31, 2020, 03:27:49 pm
Need new key made for cabin entry door lock, key unavailable.

Took off the back side or indoor facing portion of the plate and viewed workings of the latch.
Springs are in working order, no problem there. Dead bolt lock and key is working as well.

Realized that we would have to take the front or outside facing plate off to access the lock.

Before we restart this process, I am pausing to ask:

Is there is any adhesive compound that I need to be aware of holding or sealing the front plate (latch) to the door?
Has anyone taken the cabin entry door lock or latch off for replacement or to get a new key made?

Thank you for your time, Kimberley

Is the locking mechanism a L-300?

Thx for this thread.  Having lost my entry key, I've just been living with the deadbolt, but would like to be able to get another entry key + spare, & the Mothership had told me they couldn't help, since they no longer used whatever they put in the 2005 models.

How do I determine if the locking mechanism a L-300?

Thx--

Lynne
