Title: Cowl Leak Threads?
Post by: rkcook1 on July 13, 2019, 09:12:33 am
I think I have a cowl leak in my 2006 E450.  Occasionally the carpet in the driver side footwell is damp.  Not soaking, but damp.  I read that there are old threads that address the issue, but my search has not found them.  Can someone point me to a relevant thread?

I also must have some kind of small leak around the windshield.  In a rain, while driving, I get a drop or two falling on my right knee.  I bought a tube of 3M windshield sealant, but I'm not sure I'm competent to use it.  Any suggestions on this issue would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Using "firewall leak" as a search phrase brings up many results; this might help:

Ford has been well aware of this problem, and issued TSBs on leaking firewalls during multiple model years and on multiple Ford vehicles; you might want to check with a Ford truck service center and have them pull up the specific TSB for your model.
