1990 chevy g30 needs fluid change. What would you recommend?

Mobile 1 75-90 synthetic gear lube.    Frank

I would recommend that you take it to a trusted service facility and let them make that determination. Any shop worth it's salt will explain the whys and wherefores about lubrications for a rear differential. It should start with a curious inspection and proceed from there. Given the age of the rig a rebuild may be in order.  ::)

Do you have an owner's manual for the G30?
Use what the manual calls for.  SAE 80W-90 .  75W-90 synthetic can be substituted.
