Title: "Cubic" woodstove in your Lazy Daze?
Post by: Wildlands1 on February 11, 2019, 05:36:56 am
Has anyone tried any of these "Mini" woodstoves in their LD? I would do lots of very remote boondocking (if I actually owned one) and the idea of having a tiny woodstove for asthetics and to offset gas use seems nice. I loved having a glass fronted woodstove when I lived in Whitefish in winters. From my research the Kimberly is ridiculously over-priced, the hobbit is pricey for what you get, but the Cubic "Grizzly", or maybe "Cub", seem perfect for the price. Thoughts?

That's a major installation project for something that could be accomplished much easier with a safe propane heater such as the Wave.

Friend of mine did that in an old school bus RV and used something like this. Worked great for him.

I had a small Vermont Castings stove that I loved in my previous house; the fireplace in the current house is OK, but I miss the stove--both allowed me to play with fire in the convenience of my abode, & the heat was a nice side effect.  Playing with fire inside the LD isn't at all appealing--that's what the fire ring outside is for...to may places for fire to leap inside the LD.
