Title: Generator access door Foam/insulation
Post by: Cor2man on September 27, 2018, 05:20:32 pm
Has anyone replaced the spongy foam insulation on their generator access door? Mine is falling off in chunks and I’d like to replace it with something but I cannot seem to find the proper replacement material.

You need something like this.
Amazon.com: Dynamat 11905 Hoodliner 32" x 54" x 3/4" Thick Self-Adhesive... (https://www.amazon.com/Dynamat-11905-Hoodliner-Self-Adhesive-Deadener/dp/B00069QLVC?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-iphone-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00069QLVC#immersive-view_1538099623612)

The Mothership stopped using the foam in the early 2000's, when they stoped installing Onan Emerald generators.

Larry that looks like exactly what I need! I wonder if lining the hood with the excess would be a bad idea?
