We were car driving back to L.A. from Stockton last Sunday on I-5. Somewhere, I think between Fresno and Bakersfield (not sure), we overtook a strange looking RV that I thought had vague LD characteristics, but something was wrong with the rear end. It was traveling rather slowly, so we overtook it quickly. The side markings definitely looked L.D., and as we passed the front Loni looked back and confirmed that it had “Lazy Daze”written on the front in the wigwag lettering style. It looked to me like an 80’s vintage Chevy cab. What was weird were the windows at the rear. The “main”back windows looked much like today’s TK or midbath as to width, but not as tall. The strange addition was two additional windows above the mains in the configuration I have sketched below. They did not look like aftermarket add-ones, and proportionally looked in tune with the slightly shorter mains below. Anyone ever seen or heard of such a set up? I wish I had retaken the time to maneuver back to get a picture, but the fast moving traffic made that a no go. — Jon

Nope. I’ve heard of the Robin Hood line. This one had the L.D. striping on the side and definitely had the L.D. name on the cab overhead. — Jon

In the 80's, LD experimented with different floor plans, including roof-top tents and bunk beds. They also tried different floorplans.
I'll ask Dave N. about it if he shows at this weekend's LD Caravan in Ventura, he is a collector of unusual LDs.
