Has anyone found a maintenance log book that they like that's already a bit organized? I have mine just listed in a journal of sorts but I'm a bit of a "list person" so was looking for something that was a better approach than what I'm presently doing.
TIA,
Bill
The question implies a non-tech solution but I use Evernote for my vehicles. I can create a task list for vehicles and I just sort it by date. I've done the book method but unfortunately - never have the book when I need it. I can open evernote on the internet, on my phone, etc.
I just use a generic ledger book. Date| Comment field | mileage1| Milage2 | In-Tow Mileage
Run entry posts date, start & end locations, start and ending mileage, tow mileage
Fuel entry posts date, location mileage gallons cost.
Maintenance items logged same as fuel and references maintenance file.
Also log generator test date, start and end hours
Works for me.
I use the Google Drive (https://www.google.com/drive/) set of applications. I set up various spreadsheets then I'm able to track tasks across all devices I have.
I also use Google Keep as a note taker.
I use a spreadsheet in Numbers (free) for IOS. I can keep it up on iPad or iPhone, and incorporate whatever I think of- weights, improvements, wish list, MPG, trip diaries and notes, etc. I use a separate page within the file for each vehicle. If you haven't used a spreadsheet, it is a simple way to organize information. Complicated formulas add functionality, but are not required.
A screen shot of on page of the spreadsheet file.
