The LD folding table, in my old '91 and still today, is very nice... but the table edges are sharp. No problem, except if you are writing something, and the sharp edges hurt your wrists. Now, you could replace the table top with a new piece of wood, with rounded edges. An easy woodworking project, maybe a beautiful exotic wood panel, sealed against all the camping trip spills to come.
But even simpler, just crazy-glue a 3' long piece of quarter-round dowel to a table edge. Now your wrists rest on a rounded edge, and all is well.

Mine has the trim broken at the corners and I was wondering how to deal with it but now you have me thinking. No big deal to just replace it with a real wood table and it would look great.
