Does anyone know the trick? The key turns but the lock is not releasing.

try a little WD40in the lock. Else go from the inside, or drill out the lock, just like the locksmith does and replace it.
Try pushing in on the door as you're turning it gently. It looks like the arm has come unfastened from the turning cylinder.
Chip, you guessed right. I still couldn't get it open this am so stopped by camping world Las Vegas. Bought a new lock but still couldn't get it open. Service manager came out wiggled the key & rattled the door, and voila! Tightened the screw holding the lock tab - it was almost completely undone
Very nice & very helpful folks here, in the store and in service area. Simple problem for them. Major problem for me since that was the cabinet with power cords & fresh water hose & I'm facing another couple of nights in the desert. 😅,
Btw, service manager & another couple were amazed that the paint & RV were in such nice shape given that it's an 07. Guess it's a good thing I got it washed & waxed before I left CA.

When you're hanging around the campfire waiting for the prime rib to finish cooking (!) take a look at all the other locker locks, too. A dab of lowest-level Loctite (purple if you can find it, blue -- sparingly -- if you can't) will keep them in place for another 10 years or more. Disaster averted.
Great idea! Thanks. I noticed that one of the others is a bit loose too, but it's been raining here for the past couple of days. I'll get to it when it dries out a bit.
