Title: Skylight?
Post by: Duro on May 27, 2018, 09:58:34 am
How big of job is it to replace the skylight? I noticed a couple cracks starting on the edge of mine. I need to call the mothership on Tuesday and order a new one.

Hi Duro (Lynn?);   Just last August (2017) I replaced one on my friends 2001 MB. It wasn't all that hard, but a little tricky. Drilling the hole for one screw in the middle of the leading edge was harder because of the proximity of the roof vent. Harder if you have the Fantastic vent fan there. The new design Skylight from Lazy Daze was a big improvement, and looked great when done.

Duro. A view of skylight from inside. I painted the trim with a white epoxy paint to give it more insulation, waterproofing and to look more finished.

Thanks Ron that new skylight looks way better than mine does. Mine seems to have yellowed compared to that.

Ordered a new one today $225+shipping. And ordered a new front Lazy Daze decal as mine is showing some age.
