I bought some solar motion detector lights from Amazon.com last year and used them where I dry camped on the beach in Puerto Penasco. I wasn't sure how to mount them, but just took out one of the screws along the top.
They have different settings, but I used the one to come on when motion was detected and remain on for 30 seconds. I thought I may have to remove them when in transit, but drove home (500 miles) and they stayed intact. I mounted them about 3/4 of the length of the RV near the rear.
If you boondock/dry camp a lot these are "perfect."
