When was the final year LD made the Rear Lounge model with one sofa/bed and two chairs? Could the chairs be moved, or were they permanently attached to the floor?

Not sure of year but yes you can move the chairs.

It seems to me that the option of barrel chairs to replace one couch was available in the MB and RB for a long time, maybe since their inception. It's still an option in the MB but has been discontinued fairly recently (at least on the LD website floorplan) in the RB. Go to the Lazy Daze Pocket Guide Changes by year (http://www.andybaird.com/travels/LD-guide-web/changes.htm) to check when the MB and RB were first offered.
