Title: Clothes closet handle replacement?
Post by: Cebuano54 on December 27, 2017, 08:10:11 am
User error. I pulled on the clothes closet handle without pushing the release button and part of he handle broke off. It still operates but now has a jagged edge. Is that part replaceable with an OEM part or other part without replacing the entire handle mechanism? Thanks in advance.

Is it a standard lavatory push button latch?  My strike plate broke and i had to buy the whole thing.

Is this the part you mentioned in your post?

What year is your LD? (Your profile doesn't say.) The only door handle in my 2003 TK with a 'release button' is to the bath; the closet doors are fastened with 'catches' at the top and bottom of each door panel.

Can you provide a photo? Maybe an owner with the same or similar year LD can offer advice. You might also call the factory to get their suggestions on a possible replacement.
