In this thread: LP gas "T" for small tank use. Does it need to be sealed when not in use? (http://www.lazydazeowners.com/index.php?topic=31162.0)
the use of Extend-a-stay T-fitting and hose was discussed. Can an additional (appropriately "DOT rated") tank be added under the coach, with just pipe or hose between them? Or does it need to have a valve to switch from original to supplemental tank?
In another thread, folks have place auxiliary power inlet boxes in the LP compartment. They used outdoor-rated boxes with BX (but not waterproof) wiring protection. Waterproof or not, none of that type of consumer stuff is vapor-proof. I'm just wondering if the propane fill-up guys would balk at having electrical devices that close to the business end of their fill hose -- even if the electric is not in use at the time.
I'd like to have a larger reserve of gas for chilly-season furnace use. If I can do it without portable tanks, that would be more convenient.
