Title: Trim Around Table
Post by: LazyMatt on September 29, 2017, 11:50:49 pm
Hi, I have a 1996 with a dining table that is missing trim on both corners. I have the replacement trim, but it's very stiff. I'm trying to figure out if I should cut multiple pieces and apply or try to apply as one long piece.

Would anyone have a photo of a late '90s table corner where the trim application technique is visible - or can you describe it?

This is the brown plastic trim, it's not veneer.

Thanks.

If it is the "T" shaped trim, try cutting "V" around the backing strip, where it curves around the corners.
The trim can be softened by heating with a hair drier.

Thank you, McNugget!  I couldn't get a mental picture of Larry's "Y" cut. 🤔 -- Jon
