Title: Good Sam
Post by: Matt Jones on August 24, 2017, 11:14:47 am
Is it worthwhile to join Good Sam. Did not have a good experience with Auto Club recently.

Thanks,

Matt

When we joined Good Sam, we received a $25 coupon for Camping World, a discount on gas at Flying J and Pilot, and discounts at some CGs we used when we needed a spot for a night.  Within a very short time, it paid for itself.  And that was enough of an incentive for us.  Hope this helps.

One can buy Good Sam emergency road service without 'joining' Good Sam, AFAIK. You might want to check out the respective plans, coverages, and costs with both GS and Coach-Net.

Wow! Thanks. Last week in Mt. Lassen we called Auto Club to fix a flat and they refused service. Some folks in the campground said Good Sam would of provided good service under the circumstances-so I will look into getting that.

Matt, there are some good benefits but be aware your spam snail mail will increase dramatically.  Once you are on their list, you'll never get off!   :o

Just a quick note.  During my first contact with Good Sam, I asked to be remove from both snail mail and email product announcements and so forth.  As a result, we don't get anything from them as in zero.  Maybe the Good Sam's customer service thought I had a "sweet voice" or maybe I was their first caller?  But we don't get any junk mail from them.
