Title: Door lock upgrade?
Post by: tedeboy on July 02, 2017, 12:57:38 pm
My 95 TK has a small dead bolt. It's the only working lock. The door handle lock does not work.

Are there options to improve the door security as far as aftermarket locks go?

"The door handle lock does not work."

That's an easy fix... there are two springs inside that need to be replaced. Find them at Ace or any home supply store.

I did mine just this spring.   :)

Not sure if you have the same Bargman lock but here is what I learned doing ours.

Repairing a Bargman L300 Coach Door Lock (replace spring) (http://www.lazydazeowners.com/index.php?topic=29478.msg165849#msg165849)

Here's a potentially even easier fix. The "push button lock" can unscrew over time. Try screwing it down (clockwise).

I find I need to do this every few months.

Bingo on that one.  Took longer to test/verify that it actually worked than it did to fix it.  Thanks!
