Title: Power Products LLC
Post by: Joan on June 07, 2017, 01:28:59 pm
Power Products LLC bought Progressive Industries in April:

Progressive Industries | parkpower (http://www.park-power.com/en/news/progressive-announcement)

Progressive Industries, like Fantastic Fan, had a very good reputation for customer service before being absorbed; has anyone bought a PI product, e.g., a portable or hard-wired EMS, and/or dealt with a customer service issue with new owner, Power Products LLC? If so, what was your experience?

My portable Progressive surge protector has worked quite well for 15 years. At one cg where I was plugged in, I told the owner that my a/c kept tripping the breaker via my surge protector. I was assured everything had been checked. Next day the tech said, "you were right - there was a short in the box." Felt pretty good about that.

I've had a Progressive Industries PT-30C EMS (portable) for several years; it has performed as designed, and very likely saved the rig wiring (and appliances) on at least two occasions. I had one minor issue with the product shortly after buying the EMS that was resolved quickly and professionally, but that was under the original ownership.

In my experience, new ownership can often bring a lot of change (not necessarily positive), particularly when a small company with a high standard of product quality and customer service is bought/absorbed by a larger entity. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the product quality and customer service of the current ownership.
