Title: Turbo Encabulator
Post by: colddog on April 27, 2017, 06:08:28 pm
I was convinced by my father in law to get this old army surplus turbo.  Boy was he right ......  I'm sure there are a few others knocking about.

Comes with a very good data sheet

I'm glad the presenter explained it in such a way that even us non-mechanical folks could understand!  ;D

This engineering spoof originated in a 1944 article titled "The Turbo-Encabulator in Industry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turboencabulator)." A classic that never goes out of date, it has been recycled with minor variations ever since.

(Moderators, could you correct the title of this thread to "Turbo Encabulator"? We wouldn't want to be guilty of technical inaccuracy! ;-)
