Title: Owner's manual
Post by: NADAZE! on December 18, 2016, 08:30:51 am
Good morning.
I'm the new owner of a Lazy Daze RV.
The only manual that came with the RV was was a Ford E-Series owner's Guide.
Does Lazy Daze provide owners manuals for the RV portions?

Thank you
Mark

Yes, LD provides (and has always done, I think)  owners with a pretty comprehensive manual for the coach portion of the motorhome, including appliance and any add-on literature/manuals. AFAIK, the only way to get a manual (but not any of the other literature that was/is in the owner's packet when the rig is delivered) for your year of motorhome is to have an owner with the same year copy the manual and send it to you. Lazy Daze doesn't supply manuals past the initial first-owner delivery, AFAIK.

Perhaps someone else will be able to offer suggestions (or a manual copy; what is the model year of your LD?).

On another brand RV forum I am a member of, they have a resource library where owners can upload owners manuals, brochures, etc. for the benefit of those that need those documents.

Is that something we could do here?

"they have a resource library where owners can upload owners manuals, brochures, etc. "

We've talked with Lazy Daze about that over the years, and they're OK with owners sharing the manual with other owners, but not with posting it publicly. Mark, what year is your new-to-you Lazy Daze? Hopefully somebody here can get a copy the appropriate manual to you. (And by the way, welcome to the club!)

We have not been provided a the Lazy Daze manual on our ordered LD to be delivered in March/April 2017.  Todd said they are working on a new manual that we will get as soon as it is available.  A recent check with the LD office confirmed the new manual is not yet available.

Those of us who have purchased recently new from the Mothership have the same LD Manual and likewise are waiting for the new version.

I have been over our 37th Edition that was "temporarily" provided a few times and so far I am not certain of what could possibly be missing for our 2015 RB.

Out of curiosity, I wonder how far back this edition goes.

I have, as mentioned previously, loaded my manual on my iPhone and have quick access to its contents. Knowing how far back this manual goes could be a handy benchmark for its relevance over the years.

In the past, LD used to supply the 'this year' manual, so the expectant owner could read it a dozen times or so, during the months long wait on their new LD to be built.
It was required that you return the original manual in return for the new, updated version.

There is valuable information the manual that LD doesn't want the rest of the world to know about, including the secret handshake.

I was able to get one for my '92 MB by looking at the forum for people with the same model and year, then PMing them to ask if they would mind me paying their expenses to copy the manual. One helpful person scanned and emailed it to me.

Not a manual, but useful information from the manufacturer - from the Yahoo 'technoz' group:

For those of you with a recent Owner's Manual, how many miles does the Mothership recommend driving your LD before you hook up your toad?  When we picked up our 2004 MB, I remember there was a warning in the Manual about towing too soon.  I am aware that Class A manufacturers currently use a driver to deliver their gas rigs who tows his/her toad to return home.

Mark, if you give me an e-mail, I will send you the pdf - I do not have permission to post it publicly. Alternatively, you could try to join the Yahoo group 'technoz', and find it in the files.
