Title: Screen
Post by: H20lovingchick on October 30, 2016, 03:02:18 am
We just bought an LD!!! It's a 2997 MN and it is missing the screen on the window next to the dinette area. I have some searching but can't find any info on getting a replacement. Any suggestions?

Call the mothership and find out if they have any spares available.

Is the black metal frame missing, or just the screening material inside the frame? If the latter, screening is available at most hardware stores, and is fairly easy to install. You'll need a roll of the screening material, some "spline (https://www.amazon.com/Prime-Line-P7530-Screen-Retainer-25-Feet/dp/B000H5OXPQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477839291&sr=8-1&keywords=screening+spline)" (be sure to get the correct diameter), and a roller tool (https://www.amazon.com/New-York-Wire-90611-2-Wheel/dp/B003CP077Q/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1477839291&sr=8-8&keywords=screening+spline) to install it. A large flat work area makes the job easier. Total cost should be under twenty bucks.

By the way, congrats on your new rig! :-) I'm assuming it's a 1997 midbath, correct?

Or maybe they have a time machine and went into the future to buy it!  Good to know LD is still in business in 2997!   :D   ;)    :P

The sliding screen is specific to to the window and its track and is not a generic screen.
You might want to contact Hehr windows to see if the screen is still available.
