Title: Oodle RV
Post by: Joan on September 12, 2016, 11:13:47 am
A reminder for those looking for an LD: Oodle RV may have listings that are not duplicated on other classified sources; worth a check!  Example:

"lazy daze" | Lazy Daze RVs & Motorhomes for Sale | Used Motorhomes & RVs on... (http://rvs.oodle.com/lazy_daze/for-sale/?oldq=lazy+daze&inbs=1)

(I have never heard the claim that Robinhood  spun off from LD in the 70s;  can anyone provide verification of this?)

Thanks for the heads up! I'm definitely seeing some LD's on there I haven't seen anywhere else. Too bad it's probably the worst website I've ever seen. Great find tho, thanks again!

Agreed that it's pretty poor, but I've seen a lot worse!  ;)

I'm not sure this is "verification":

"At one point there was a falling out in the company, Ed left and begin building Robin Hood motor homes (some where around 1975). Current LD’er Dave Nordstrom recalls commenting to Paul about the similarities of Lazy Daze to Robin Hood coaches when he was researching/buying his first Lazy Daze from the factory. Paul pretty much dismissed them out of hand as lacking in quality and design."

[moved this topic from Classifieds to this board since the classifieds are only for member ads for coaches and other RV-related items for sale/wanted - Michelle]

Also:

Let's not forget the Japanese cousin to Lazy Daze-The Bonanza.

Lazy Daze Builds Strong Customer Base Through Factory-Direct Approach :... (http://www.woodallscm.com/2005/07/lazy-daze-builds-strong-customer-base-through-factory-direct-approach/)

Very interesting read for those new to LD.
I had a picture of one but it now resides in my lap top. I'll try to find it if no one else has a pic available.

Oh,

And then there's this uncanny resemblance to LD.

Hmmm...Cousin or evil twin?

Interesting. We spotted one while overnighting at the Walmart in Paso Robles, CA a few years ago (in our pre-LD SOB). It was well used and looked like its owner had a bit of a hoarding problem. I'll see if my other half has any photos of it and will post them if so.

I can't imagine what they were thinking when posting the video of that ugly, stained, poorly maintained roof! How many ads have you seen where the interior photos show the clutter and detritus of years of living in the RV? Doncha really wonder sometimes? Definitley evil twin.
