Title: Rear window rubber bead
Post by: AKDaze on July 10, 2016, 05:03:27 pm
Hi, former yahoo member "akmacs" but had to register as new.

I need to order some of the rubber bead for my fixed rear window. I'm taking it to a glass shop to have the three glass peices removed/resealed and want to replace the rubber seal since it has shrunk and hardened. Does anyone know what the correct part would be. I found this Hehr 3/16" Glazing Bead - Window Parts (http://www.all-rite.com/hehr-glazing-bead-p-295.html?osCsid=7e39d8e04f3cdc910af82e7cf0cb68f3) and it looks right but wondered if anyone knew for sure. There are weep holes in the current bead that I guess must be cut by hand in the new bead.

My coach is a 1997 23.5 T/K

Thank you,

Mike

While you at it Mike, take a look at the sliding windows. I just had to replace a top screw on the passenger side large bay window. Actually it backed out and upon opening  the molding popped off at the top. At some point I will take that sliding pane out and secure properly but it will have to do for now.

Terry, I have noticed some screws backing out on some windows and they are so rusty I'll just replace them with fresh zinc plated I think. I also noticed the sealant on the sliders is breaking down as well. I think its just at that age now.
