Title: Rear Bath question
Post by: tedeboy on June 19, 2016, 09:51:48 pm
Just curious if the rear bath model restricts the passenger seat's reclining ability? I know the mid bath model does.
Thanks

Hi Tedeboy,

I have a 2015 27' RB and at 6' 1" I can attest to how comfortable I am with the drivers seat completely set back and reclined. I am extremely pleased with its ability to suit my taller frame.

My original choice was the 27' Mid Bath with the Twin King. But among other reasons, the Captains chair had me sitting very upright and very close to the steering wheel without the ability to recline in the least.

Now granted the Captains chair in the 27' RB doesn't lay flat like the seat in my sedan due to the couch being behind it, but I am very relaxed while driving.

I also enjoy its ability to move forward to accommodate my use of the couch as a bed.

Others here at LDO are very happy with the MB but it just didn't suit all my needs while the RB does.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks Kent. We have a 1995 23.5TK and what's nice is my wife can recline back in the passenger seat. Way back. I'm not sure any 27' model allows this.

Hi Tedeboy,

I'm not so sure any other LD reclines as fully as your wife's copilot chair does. I suppose it all depends how far forward the seat is during travel.

In the 27' RB, if the seat is further forward, it may be possible to recline more. I' ll have to take a look, but as it is, it works fine for me.

My RB has the barrel chair behind the passenger seat. If the barrel chair gets scooted out of the way the passenger seat will recline all the way back to just slightly raised. But I keep that barrel chair buckled up while traveling.

Interesting. We have the same configuration, but I usually drive separately, so have not traveled often in the passenger seat. Must give it a look-see. Could be a useful feature.
